Refund & Cancellation Policy

Version 2026-09-24 · Last updated 24 September 2026

How to cancel, what happens when you do, and when money comes back. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and shares their version, so accepting those accepts this.

01What this covers

Two things are sold: a monthly subscription to a quiet. plan, and top-up credit packs for Studio. Both are digital services. Credits and upgrades activate after payment; renewals and downgrades begin on the date shown at checkout — there is nothing to ship and nothing to return, so the rules below are about access and credits rather than goods.

02Cancelling a subscription

If your plan was bought through the app, cancel it yourself in Settings — the workspace then shows the date your access runs until. Otherwise, or if you would rather we did it, email hello@lowkeyloud.co from the address on your account and say which workspace you want to cancel. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no reason required.

  • Cancelling stops the next renewal. Nothing further is charged.
  • You keep the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, with the allowances and credits that come with it. The workspace then moves to the Free tier.
  • We do not refund the unused part of a period you have started, except in the cases in §3. A month you have begun is a month you have bought.
  • Nothing is deleted. See §9.

When you cancel in the app, Settings immediately shows the date your plan runs until — that is your confirmation. If you cancelled by email and have not had a reply, assume it did not happen and write to us again.

03When a subscription payment is refunded

The rule is meant to be simple: you should not pay for a month you did not use.

  • An untouched period, within seven days. If you tell us within seven days of a payment — your first one or a renewal — and the workspace has not spent a single credit or run a single generation in that period, we refund it in full and move the workspace to Free.
  • A renewal you did not want and did not use. Same rule, same window. If you meant to cancel and forgot, and then did not use the month, tell us and we will undo the charge rather than argue about the date.
  • We charged you wrongly. A duplicate charge, the wrong plan, the wrong amount, or a charge after you cancelled: refunded in full, with no time limit and no questions.
  • We closed your account without cause, or retired the service. We refund the unused part of the period you had paid for.
  • We could not deliver. If a fault on our side left the plan or the credits you paid for undelivered and we could not put it right in reasonable time, you get your money back.

Outside those cases a subscription payment is not refundable — including where a plan is cancelled part-way through a month, where the allowance went unused by choice, or where an account is closed for breaking the Terms of Service. Where an AI provider outage stopped you working for a meaningful stretch, tell us; we will usually put credits back or extend the period rather than leave you short.

04Top-up credits are non-refundable

A top-up pack is used the moment you buy it: the credits land in the workspace and can be spent immediately. Once bought, a top-up is not refundable, in full or in part, whether the credits are spent or not.

In exchange, they are yours to keep on your own terms:

  • They never expire, and they survive the end of a billing period.
  • They stay with the workspace when you change plan or cancel, and can still be spent on any Studio feature your plan includes.
  • Spending always draws down monthly credits first, so you never burn a top-up you could have kept.

The exceptions in §3 still apply: a duplicate or mistaken charge is refunded, and credits you paid for but never received are either delivered or refunded.

05Monthly credits expire at period end

The credits included with a plan are use-it-or-lose-it. At the end of each billing period the unused balance is wiped, not carried over, and a new period begins at the full monthly allowance. The same goes for the per-feature allowances — analyses, audits, assistant messages, copy generations and the rest.

Unused monthly credits and allowances are not refunded, not converted into top-up credits, and not exchangeable for anything. On the Free tier the allowances are one-time: they do not refill at all.

06When a generation fails

Studio charges credits when a render is submitted, not when it lands, because the render runs at a provider and continues whether or not your browser is open. When the provider confirms a failed render, its reserved credits are refunded. Purchased credits return to the purchased balance; monthly credits can only return to their original, still-valid period. An unknown outcome stays reserved until it is confirmed.

That is an automatic correction inside the product, not a refund of money, and it needs no request from you. If a render failed and the credits did not come back within a few hours, tell us and we will put them back by hand.

07Failed, duplicate and disputed payments

  • A failed payment changes nothing you already have. If a renewal fails we will ask you to pay; if it stays unpaid the plan is suspended or moved to Free, and your content stays readable.
  • A payment that leaves your account but does not reach us — the app still shows the old plan, or the credits never arrived — is almost always a gateway delay. It usually settles within a few hours. If it has not, send us the payment reference and we will either apply what you bought or refund it in full.
  • A duplicate charge is refunded in full as soon as we can see both payments.
  • Before you raise a chargeback, please write to us. A dispute freezes the money with the gateway for weeks and we may have to suspend the workspace while it is open, whereas we can usually refund a genuine mistake the same day.

08How to ask, and how long it takes

Email hello@lowkeyloud.co from the address on your account, with the workspace name, the payment reference from your receipt, and a sentence about what went wrong.

  • We reply within 2 working days and tell you our decision within 5.
  • If we approve it, we send the refund back through the payment gateway within 5 working days of that decision.
  • It then takes roughly 5 to 10 working days to appear, depending on your bank.
  • Refunds go back to whatever you paid with — the same card, the same UPI ID, the same account. That is a rule of the payment system, not ours, and we cannot send it anywhere else.

If we say no, we will say why. If we cannot decide within 5 working days because we are waiting on the gateway, we will tell you that rather than go quiet.

09What cancelling does to your data

Nothing. Cancelling a subscription ends the paid plan; it does not delete your account, your workspace or anything in it. The workspace drops to Free, keeps read access to everything already made, and keeps any top-up credits it holds.

Deleting an account or a workspace is a separate and deliberate act you carry out yourself in Settings. It is immediate and cannot be undone, and what we keep afterwards — financial records, with the workspace name detached — is set out in the Privacy Policy. Download anything you want to keep before you delete it.
